The Asian Drug War Healing Circle is an intergenerational space for Asians (East, West, South, Central, bicultural, diaspora) to come together in solidarity. folks who identify as people who use drugs and/or love people who use drugs. Together, we hope to deepen our understanding of and heal from the War on Drugs and problematic drug use through political education, storytelling, and skills building. This is not an advocacy or a recovery space, but a space for healing, open and honest conversation, and community building.
The Asian American Drug War Healing Circle through the Center for Political Drug Education (CPDE) founded by Hsing Yi (Frances) Fu and Rhana Hashemi has been a safe space for Asian Americans to begin to unpack intergenerational layers of silence around drug use through political and drug education. This offering continues on at APC as the expanded Asian Drug War Healing Circle.
This is the third in a series of 5 events. The topic of this circle is "Decolonizing Drug Use and our Identities as Drug Users”. In this circle, we will be talking about intentionality, reciprocity and exploring the Internal Family Systems model in relation to drug use.
